The sun broke through the clouds at 11 am on September 21st, 2013, turning a cold and foggy morning into a beautiful wedding day for Dan and Kristen at the View Point Hotel.  Kristen and her six bridesmaids dressed in a beautiful suite as they got ready for the day.  Dan was just across the street with his groomsmen and promptly headed to the Nubble Lighthouse for portraits with his family and groomsmen before the ceremony.  The porch outside of Kristen’s suite offered beautiful light for portraits but also took many of her portraits down by the ocean.   It was then time for Kristen to hide, as friends and family were starting to arrive for the ceremony!  They had a gorgeous ceremony on the upper lawn of the hotel and were officiated by their close friend, Ben.  Dan and Kristen asked that I capture their first kiss as husband and wife with all their friends and family cheering them on in the background.  What a fun image!  After the ceremony, we took family and bridal party photographs and it was then time for Dan and Kristen’s newlywed photos.  They hopped in my blue Subaru Impreza and we drove off to the Nubble Lighthouse on Cape Neddick.  The lighthouse, the rocks, and the ocean…..it was all stunning.  Next, we headed towards the boardwalk of York, Maine.  Such a historic area with lots of character!  To top it off, an old golden retriever made his way to Dan & Kristen on the boardwalk, and plopped himself right in between them!  These two dog lovers were as smitten as was I!  After a few more photos, and a good bye to the ol’ pup, we headed back for the celebration.  It was filled with dances, toasts, wonderful food, and yep, more dancing.  We even were able to sneak out at dusk to grab some beautiful dusk photos with the Nubble Lighthouse in the background.  It was such a gorgeous day!  At the end of the evening as I was leaving, Kristen sadly asked, “So, this means I’ll never see you again?”  I promised to stay in touch and meet her in Portsmouth for a drink sometime.  Congrats you two!  We simply LOVED you two and your wedding day!Second Shooter:  Jess Jolin
