Eagle Mountain House Wedding: Siiri & Nate

On September 6th, 2014, Siiri watched the clouds roll into the Mount Washington Valley on the afternoon of her wedding day. “Please don’t rain, please don’t rain. Do you think it’s going to rain?”, she kept asking. Nate waited for her at the ceremony site and watched a few rain drop fall from the sky. Siiri was adamant about having the ceremony outside overlooking the mountains in Jackson, NH at the Eagle Mountain House. We all watched as the clouds got darker and darker and anticipated a complete downpour in the middle of the ceremony. Somehow, the rain held. Siiri walked down the aisle towards Nate and Roy Prescott, delivered a wonderful performance as Justice of the Peace. It didn’t rain. Earlier that afternoon, I was able to capture many moments with Siiri and her bridesmaids as they got ready. There were dance parties, many hugs, tears and laughter. Siiri was so full of life and excited to see her husband-to-be at the alter. She and Nate opted for portraits after the ceremony, and it was inevitable- it rained. Siiri and Nate were up for the adventure capturing portraits in the rain. After the rain turned into a complete downpour, we finished the portraits on a private spot on the veranda of the Eagle Mountain House. I’m happy we did. It was beautiful! The evening finished with heartfelt toasts, a lively first dance, and a wonderful dinner. Matt Spofford had the dance floor crowded all night! Siiri and Nate, thank you. You two were so wonderful on your wedding day, and still are. I thoroughly enjoyed capturing your very special day.
